Sleeping Naked is Green – My Favorite Living Green Guide
Sleeping Naked Is Green: How an Eco-Cynic Unplugged Her Fridge, Sold Her Car, and Found Love in 366 Days
. I love love love this book! I have laughed out loud so many times during this book (there were a lot of funny looks in the hospital waiting room where I was trying so hard not to laugh that I had tears running down my face). Vanessa’s writing style is both entertaining and inspiring.
This book gives you a whole new outlook on “going green”, it makes it seem more like an adventure than a chore. If someone who didn’t really seem to believe in it in the first place, and was faced with such disbelief by those around her, can accomplish so much in one year then what are the rest of us waiting for?
Find out what my other four favorite living green guides are…..

Thanks for you comment!
It's so hard not to feel guilty about the things we think we should or shouldn't be doing instead of being proud of what we do accomplish. I struggle with this all the time.
While reading this book I had to keep reminding myself that the author was a single woman living alone. It's a lot easier to make that many changes when you only have yourself to worry about and not an entire family that you're trying to convert. I had to fight my husband for months to eliminate paper towels. I won that one in the end but I lost the "war of the kleenex".
We all need to give ourselves more credit for caring enough to try to make changes instead of just burying our heads in the sand like too many people do.
That sounds like a great read… except that it also sounds like something that would make me feel guilty about every imperfect part of my lifestyle. "Going green" is one of those things where no matter what you do or how many steps ahead you are compared to friends and family, it is easy to feel like you're failing. I feel guilty shopping, using toilet paper, running the space heater that I love…
Still might add this on to my Amazon wishlist though.
Looking forward to more book reviews!
